About

Michael Paschal is a Maryland resident, born in Maine, and inspired by nature and beauty to create artwork that pleases the eye of any individual. As a young artist, he was awarded a “Gold Key” scholarship in high school, went on to the University of Maryland for academics, then finished at the Corcoran School of Art.

He has instructed drawing and painting at every level and has had his work displayed in galleries and museums all over the mid-Atlantic (most notably, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.) His favorite subjects are rugged nature, landscapes, waterways, and specifically, BIRDS. His fascination with our winged friends seems to be shared by many.

While being a freelance artist for most of his life, his career was in printing. He became an expert in high-resolution conventional and digital color improvement and image reconstruction. His art background and training through years of work in the printing industry, he mastered the gamut of art programs such as Kodak Designmaster, Scitex, and ultimately, Adobe programs, especially Photoshop.

Michael is known for his extensive photo enhancement, repair, and reconstruction skills, as well as graphic design and digital artwork.

Michael believes painting is not just a passion, it is also an exercise, and he will continue to express his talents in all mediums and subjects.
